Re.: Crime movies.

Dear Sir!

A new trend having developed within the crime movie genre seriously disturbs The Purity Group. The trend threatens the integrity, indeed the very existance, of crime movies as we know them.

We are of course referring to the unseemly habit of allowing police officers and detectives to have private lives. Introducing the minor audience to hormone turboed youngsters and all too often scantily clad wives, is a callous affront to all weak minds.

We expect murder, torture and beheadings, and murder, torture and beheadings is what we're going to get. Not blood stirring scenes from the private sphere, nor any hints of their home having a bedroom. Such an affront to the feelings and loins of our children will not be tolerated. It must stop at once.

160.000 members of The Group will take action, and the action will be swift and devastating. The industry better harken our words. Police officers and detectives will never again be shown to have private lifes in a crime movie. It annoys the hell out of us.

We recommend transferring to a drama movie, should the need to expose private lives of lewdness be too great to handle. Do not interfere with the purity of the crime movie.
